“Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value.” ~ Albert Einstein

Mohamad Hassan Fadi Hijab

I am currently working towards my PhD in Computer Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar. Prior to this, I earned my Master’s degree in Data Analysis in Health Management from the same institution. I also hold a BS in Computer Science from the American University of Culture and Education (AUCE), Lebanon, and another BS in Pure Mathematics from the Lebanese International University (LIU).

My professional background extends to a range of projects within the realm of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), particularly focused on support for individuals on the autism spectrum. Notably, I was part of a research team that contributed to the development of an augmented reality tool, MARVoc, aimed at enhancing vocabulary learning for autistic children. I was also instrumental in creating a chat application, MAAN, designed to foster improved social and communication skills for autistic adults.

My portfolio also includes several mobile applications published on both Android and iOS platforms, demonstrating my adaptability and proficiency in computer science. I have proven myself in competitive environments, securing top awards in several Hult Prize and First Lego League competitions at campus, national, and international levels. My blend of practical and research-based experience, underpinned by strong academic achievements, forms a robust foundation for my current and future work.
