Mada partners with Seedstars to promote the ICT Accessibility Solutions with the ultimate goal of supporting Accessibility startups in Qatar and beyond to benefit and improve the lives of PWD. Seedstars and Mada share a common vision to support innovation by working with the best startups in the field and offering them with suitable funding and subject matter expertise. The prize money is utilized for enhancing the innovative winning solution and a marketable product to effectively impact the targeted users. 2 finalists Talov and Lazarillo have been selected during the MENA summit held in Morocco who will advance to the final summit in Geneva, Switzerland.

Swedish Braille Manufacturer ‘Index Brailler’ along with Superwire hosted a show N tell for Mada staff on the latest technology innovation in the area of Braille printer, embossers and braille reading technology. The session was conducted by the chief technologist from Index braille Sweden.

Guests from Taiwan Institute for Information Industry (III) visited Mada to discuss on Mada – III collaboration. During the visit, both parties discussed collaboration on Innovation in Assistive technology and accessibility.

Microsoft signs MOU with Mada at QITCOM 2019 to setup an inclusive classroom in which all students, irrespective of their abilities or skills, are welcomed holistically. It is built on the notion that being in a non-segregated classroom will better prepare special-needs students for later life.

Mada has collaborated with Arab League Educational Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) to launch the first of its kind awards intended to develop innovative Arabic mobile app solutions for users with disabilities called the Mada-ALECSO Apps Award. This award is part of the ALECSO Apps Award that focuses on developing Arabic mobile app solutions within various sectors.

Mada participated as a sponsor in Code Camp during the QITCOM event in collaboration with the Ministry of Transportation and Communication. The purpose of Code Camp is to find solutions through a 48-hour hackathon for real-life use cases by gathering eligible applicants in the field of ICT.

Mada awarded endorsement certificates to the innovators of DOT MINI, DOT Watch and BONOCLE products during QITCOM as part of the endorsement program.

MadaLab sponsors got the opportunity to showcase their solutions and provide introduction to the visitors during QITCOM 2019.  The conference lasted for 4 days with Mada offering showcase podium for all its MadaLab sponsors enabling them to highlight there partnership with Mada and the solution they can offer to the ICT community.

Mada signs MOU with KOTRA to provide a platform for various Korean Assistive Technology and accessibility solution providers to access the MadaLab and to take part in the various schemes offered under the Mada Innovation Program. The signing ceremony was attended by HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, and the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Sung Yun-mo.
