Rebecca Bright

Rebecca graduated as a speech pathologist in 2001 in Australia and has been interested in the needs of people with complex communication disabilities since then. This led her to co-found Therapy Box and the release of Predictable – the company’s flagship augmentative communication app back in 2011. Rebecca brings her clinical background to the projects and products at Therapy Box, with expertise in understanding the needs of patients, clinicians and the health service.

Rebecca is particularly interested in the ways in which communication breaks down in conversation, the ways in which this happens for people with little or no speech and trying to innovate to make repair easier. Rebecca is also interested in promoting the role of women in technology and, in 2016, was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Honours List.
