We were honored and pleased with the visit of Moredream Korean company to Mada and giving a Show & Tell workshop about “Smartio Braille” keyboard that consists of the braille language and a printed text using back translation program which can be used to support people with visual impairment.

As part of the ongoing Innovation club training programs which is provided by Mada, we are pleased to share with you scenes from our participation in a workshop entitled “Lego Workshop (Levels one and two)” in cooperation with Audio Complex School.

Mada Innovation Program Solutions were showcased at the WISE conference 2022 in Qatar. The conference, which was held from October 03-04, 2022, was attended by over 5,000 people from over 100 countries.

The completion of the Msherieb Galleria Mall indoor WayFinding project and the installation of the Lazarillo solution mark a significant milestone. User testing is also an important step to ensure that the solution meets the needs and expectations of the users.

Mada Innovation Team Completed the setup of Indoor wayfinding solution at Galleria Mall and testing. Lazarillo is now available at Mathaf QF, Metro Station and Msheireb Galleria Mall.

Work Initiated for the enhancement of Community Zone at Mada Lab. Upon completion the space will give splendid user journey experience.

Mada center launches the Innovation Summer Camp entitled “Health for All”, which aims to teaching the basics of innovation to persons with disability using the newest technological solutions.

Considering Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030, Mada Innovation Program aims to create and update use cases under the Mada Innovation Program ecosystem. As such, focus groups have been conducted to understand the people with visual impairment and Blind users on practising religion and using technology.

DIC Code Camp 2022 winners ‘Eharis’ took part in Show & Tell Session 3 organized by Mada Innovation at Mada Lab. During the event, eHaris showcased the learning game build using nextmind.

Faculty and Student Council Managers of University of Science And Technology Doha visited Mada Lab to learn more about the Mada Innovation Program and introduce the program to the students.

Mada Lab hosted the inclusive education tools training for students with learning disability in collaboration with “Microsoft” tops the first achievements which support the inclusion of persons with disability through transform education for persons with disabilities by “Microsoft Education Tools”.

In partnership with Qatar Airways and Creatrea LLC, we are pleased to announce launching “Flight Simulation Lab” for children with autism spectrum disorder through Mada Innovation Program.
The simulation lab will let children and their families to experience a flight before embarking on a real flight.

Towards promoting innovations in the field of ICT accessibility, Mada Innovation Team has participated in the challenge of “Code Camp Event” in cooperation with ministry of communication and information technology and Digital Incubation Center.

Second User testing for Lazarillo Indoor wayfinding solution at Msherieb Metro station has been completed as part of Mada Innovation Programs strategy to implement Mada Supported solutions at Mada Strategic Partner organizations

Mada Innovation Team hosted the second Show&Tell of this season at Mada Lab on 5G Verticals, IoT & Accessibility. The session was presented by Dr ZIED BOUIDA, a Senior Researcher and a Cisco Chair technical manager at the Sensor Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) Lab at Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Dr Zied is also a Senior Member of the IEEE and currently serving as IEEE R7 Young Professionals Committee Chair.

Mada will submit a paper on accessible museum at Mathaf QF. This is part of the collaboration with Mathaf QF to setup 6 accessible solutions for supporting disabled Mathaf visitors.

Mada Lab was glad to host the seminar ” Discussion of Primary Results to Discuss Supporting Digital Integration of Elderly People and Caregivers for Qatari and Arab Families “. It is joint research by HBKU, Ihsan, Mada Centre and the Canadian Network of Technology for Elderly People, funded by Qatar National Research Fund and Doha International Family Institute, as Dr. Dena Al-Thani, Assistant Professor and The Director of Interdisciplinary Programs at the College of Science and Engineering at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, chaired the seminar and discussed the recommendations with a group of experts and specialists.
